The Property Transfer Department approves the legal descriptions contained in a Transfer of Title document as well as the conveyance of the property.
A Conveyance is the document by which a Transfer of Title to property from one person to another is affected.
When conveying property, the Property Transfer Department of the Fiscal Office accepts the following two forms:
- DTE FORM 100 Rev. 12/98 S.C. Date 01/06 REAL PROPERTY CONVEYANCE FEE STATEMENT OF VALUE AND RECEIPT
- DTE FORM 100 (EX) Rev. 12/98 S.C. Date 01/06 STATEMENT OF REASON FOR EXEMPTION FROM REAL PROPERTY CONVEYANCE FEE

***NOTE: To ensure the process of transferring a title is completed that business day, properly prepared forms must be received by the Property Transfer Department for approval of the legal description by 3:30PM***
