2014 Reappraisal will move into Bath, Richfield, Boston, Peninsula and Boston Heights

Summit County Fiscal Officer Kristen M. Scalise CPA, CFE announces that the review phase of the state mandated 2014 Reappraisal will move into the townships of Bath, Richfield and Boston; and the villages of Richfield, Boston Heights and Peninsula.

 

Second half 2012 real estate tax bills due on July 26th

Summit County Fiscal Officer Kristen M. Scalise CPA, CFE would like to remind property owners that second half 2012 real estate taxes are due on Friday, July 26, 2013, with the exception of military personnel. Property taxes are deferred for military reservists who are on active duty.

 

Real Estate tax relief to July storm victims

Summit County Fiscal Officer Kristen M. Scalise CPA, CFE has announced that real estate tax relief will be available to property owners who have sustained damage in the wake of the recent storms. Fiscal Officer Scalise’s office is taking the necessary steps to provide property owners the ability to file an Application for Valuation Deduction for Destroyed or Damaged Property (Form DTE 26), pursuant to Ohio Revised Code §319.38.

Summit County Fiscal Officer Kristen M. Scalise CPA, CFE announces that the review phase of the state mandated 2014 Reappraisal will begin in the City of Green on Monday, June 17, 2013.

 

Wallet-Size Veteran Identification Card(s)

Summit County Fiscal Officer Kristen M. Scalise CPA, CFE has announced that her office will now offer a wallet-size veteran identification card. The new veteran identification card will serve as an alternative to the Armed Forces Discharge record known as a DD Form 214, or DD214.

 

Negotiated Tax Certificate Lien Sale

Summit County Fiscal Officer Kristen M. Scalise CPA, CFE has announced that her office conducted a Negotiated Tax Certificate Lien Sale on Tuesday, April 30, 2013. Tax Ease Ohio, LLC had a successful bid of $124,869.50 on 56 parcels. Parcels that sold consisted of residential and commercial properties.

 

Homestead Exemption and 2.5% Tax Reduction Deadline

Summit County Fiscal Officer Kristen M. Scalise CPA, CFE has announced today that the deadline for filing an application for Homestead Exemption and the 2.5% Tax Reduction for tax year 2013 is Monday, June 3, 2013. Real estate taxes are one year in arrears.
