Second half 2016 real estate tax bills to be mailed, due on July 14

Akron, Ohio, June 6, 2017-Summit County Fiscal Officer Kristen M. Scalise CPA, CFE has announced that second half 2016 real estate tax bills will be mailed beginning Wednesday, June 7, 2017. The closing date for payment will be Friday, July 14, 2017, with the exception of military personnel. Real estate taxes are deferred for military reservists who are on active duty. Applications can be obtained by calling 330-643-8088 or visiting our website at http://fiscaloffice.summitoh.net/.

Summit County Fiscal Officer Kristen M. Scalise CPA, CFE will partner with Mustard Seed Development Center, Fair Housing Contact Service, Inc., and Community Legal Aid Services, Inc. to host a free clinic for homeowners who have delinquent real estate taxes. The clinic will take place on Wednesday, October 26th and Thursday, October 27th from 3 to 7 p.m. at City of Joy Life Enrichment Center, 610 W. Exchange St., Akron, Ohio 44302.
 

Summit County Animal Control to Hold 7th Annual Adopt-A-Thon, $10 per Animal

The 7th Annual Summit County Adopt-A-Thon will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Division of Animal Control, located at 250 Opportunity Parkway in downtown Akron. The event is sponsored by Summit County Executive Ilene Shapiro and Fiscal Officer Kristen M. Scalise.
