Akron, Ohio – Fiscal Officer Kristen M. Scalise CPA, CFE, is warning residents of a fraudulent website that is falsely representing itself as an official website of the Summit County Fiscal Office. The only official website for the Summit County Fiscal Office is: https://fiscaloffice.summitoh.net/.
The website falsely identifies itself as the “Summit County Auditor.” Summit County does not have a standalone county Auditor’s Office or a designated Auditor website. As a charter county, the Summit County Fiscal Officer manages the county divisions of Auditor, Recorder, and Treasurer under one office structure. This website is unauthorized and is not affiliated with or maintained by the Summit County Fiscal Office.
The site is designed to resemble a legitimate county website and may mislead residents into believing they are accessing official county information or services.
Residents should rely exclusively on https://fiscaloffice.summitoh.net/ for all Fiscal Office services and are strongly advised to not provide any personal, financial, or sensitive information on any unofficial website.
