Akron, Ohio – Summit County Fiscal Officer Kristen M. Scalise CPA, CFE, has announced that free help is available to Summit County homeowners who have fallen behind on the payment of property taxes during a Delinquent Property Tax Clinic on Thursday, August 7, 2025, from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Arlington Church of God, 539 S. Arlington St., Akron, OH 44306.

The clinic will be hosted by Summit County Fiscal Officer Kristen M. Scalise CPA, CFE, Summit County Executive Ilene Shapiro’s Department of Job and Family Services and Department of Development, State Representative Veronica Sims, Community Action Akron Summit, KeyBank, Community Legal Aid, United Way Summit & Medina, Veterans Service Commission, Mustard Seed Development Center, and HFLA of Northeast Ohio.

Property owners who attend the clinic will have the opportunity to meet individually with a representative from the Summit County Fiscal Office to establish a payment plan to fit their needs. Enrollment in a payment plan will freeze delinquent property tax balances and help the property owner avoid further penalties and interest.

“My office is here to help homeowners who may be struggling,” said Summit County Fiscal Officer Kristen M. Scalise CPA, CFE. “This clinic is about giving homeowners the resources and individualized support they need to create a path forward.”

The Delinquent Property Tax Clinic is free and open to the public; no registration is required. Those who anticipate needing special accommodations, require assistance, or have questions may call (330) 643-2600 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
