Akron, Ohio, October 24, 2023 – Summit County Fiscal Officer Kristen M. Scalise CPA, CFE has announced a third billing for parcels with delinquent taxes. The third billing will be mailed beginning Tuesday, October 24, 2023.

Closing date for payment will be Thursday, November 30, 2023. Failure to pay by the due date may result in publishing the taxpayer’s name in a newspaper publication as required by law.

On December 1, 2023, statutory interest will be charged against any unpaid taxes. If your mortgage lender or someone else is responsible for your real estate tax payment, you must contact them immediately and forward the tax bill to them. Ohio law states that it is the taxpayer’s responsibility to obtain and pay their tax bill on time.
