Main St. in Akron, is open to taxpayers despite the downtown construction. Payments for first half 2019 real estate tax bills can be made in-person at the Treasurer Division (3rd floor) during regular business hours, Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
As part of the Main Street Corridor Construction Project, the Ohio Building is undergoing extensive work on its underground vaults. The sidewalk along Main St. will have limited access as the demolition and construction continues through February; however, the Main St. entrance to the Ohio Building will remain open for the duration of the work. An alternative entrance is also available through the Summit County Parking Deck, 200 S. High St., Akron.
First half 2019 real estate taxes are due on Friday, February 21, 2020. Summit County Fiscal Officer Kristen M. Scalise CPA, CFE offers several convenient ways to make payment, including online, in-person, by mail, by phone, at participating banks, and at MoneyGram locations.
