Akron, Ohio, October 10, 2017 – Summit County residents are invited to attend a landlord-tenant open house on Saturday, October 21, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Arlington Church of God, 539 S. Arlington St., Akron, OH 44306. Qualified representatives will be on-hand to discuss tenant rights under Ohio landlord-tenant law, answer questions about getting repairs to property, and review the tax foreclosure process.
The open house is hosted through a joint effort of the Summit County Land Bank, Summit County Fiscal Office, Summit County Prosecutor’s Office, Community Legal Aid Services Inc. and the University of Akron School of Law Civil Practice Clinic. It is free and open to the public; no appointment is necessary.
Residents who would like assistance with a specific issue should bring documentation with them to the event. The following items will help support a landlord or property complaint: a copy of any lease you signed, a copy of any notices or other notes received from your landlord, rent receipts, or any pictures of repairs that need made.
We encourage all interested residents to participate in this community event. Those who anticipate needing special accommodations, require assistance, or have questions about physical access may call (330)643-8472 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
