Summit County Fiscal Officer Kristen M. Scalise CPA, CFE announces the Fiscal Office Appraisal Department’s sexiennial listing phase for the state mandated 2014 reappraisal will begin Monday, June 11, 2012 in the City of Green. Members of Scalise’s appraisal staff will use new Toughbook laptop computers to access data and verify records on-site to update property record cards.
Fiscal Officer Scalise said her staff would notify officials in Green of the project. Staff members will have Identification Badges; they will wear yellow vests and have official business placards in their private vehicles stating they are from the Summit County Fiscal Office. Staff appraisers will be in the community working between 8 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. No Fiscal Office staff conducts field checks after 4:00 p.m.
As the project keeps moving to the various political subdivisions, our staff will notify city and township officials that Fiscal Office appraisers will be in their area. Appraisal staff will continue their work in Springfield Township, Lakemore Village, and Mogadore Village through the middle of July. The listing phase of the 2014 reappraisal is expected to take about 9 months to complete.
Fiscal Officer Scalise has stated that if a homeowner is not available during the day, staff will leave a door hanger notifying the property owner of our visit.
