Summit County Fiscal Officer Kristen M. Scalise CPA, CFE is introducing a new payment option for Summit County taxpayers by adding MoneyGram, an in person cash payment method for real estate taxes.

MoneyGram is a new way for property owners to pay real estate taxes in cash at more than 35,000 locations nationwide. To locate a MoneyGram center, visit www.OfficialPayments.com/locate or call 1-800-MoneyGram.

When making a payment using MoneyGram, taxpayers must provide the name of our office, city and state, their parcel number and one of the following payment codes: R.E.D. payment – 9602; Real Estate payment – 9603; Tax Installment Plan (TIP) payment – 9604 or Delinquent Tax payment - 9605.

In person cash payments provide guaranteed, same-day payments. Official Payments Corporation charges a nominal fee for this service. This fee does not come back to the county in any way.

Fiscal Officer Scalise stated, “I am pleased to provide taxpayers with another innovative and convenient option for paying real estate taxes. Easing the payment process for Summit County taxpayers continues to be one of my top priorities.”
